Shaun Hill over Alex Smith huh? So you're just going to eat whats left of Smith's 6 year 50 million dollar contract? And play your 3rd string quarterback? sure Hill looked decent. But remember Alex won the first 2 games of the season for the niners, then on the first series of game 3 was hurt from then on out, he was never the same.
What I'm saying about Nolan is that he's brought all this talent in, and yes the defense was better, the offense again under Nolan's watch has been terrible. Though last year it was acceptable with Turner obviously running the offense. But I'm saying Mike Singletary could be a very fucking good coach, and if we try to give Nolan one more year and it blows he's obviously gonna be gone. while singletary could take off for another team and we would never get a chance to see what he could do for us.
Many, almost all the players on the 49ers respect Singletary just for who he was. Players listen to him. Do you think the Alex Smith/Mike Nolan little beef that went on this year would've happened if Singletary was Head Coach? I don't think so. Nolan seems like a wishy/washy type guy. Singletary is more of an authoritive figure and doesn't seem like he'd let that type of bullshit ruin in the media for as long as it did.
I'm just hoping Singletary stays on for one more year, we find a GREAT offensive coordinator, keep Alex Smith out there, and if Nolan fucks up this next year I push for Singletary.
